WIRCC also helps to inform specific responses by the Board to municipal, provincial, and federal actions that impact the sector general, and women in the sector in particular. 1:15 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Organized Tours - Optional ($) Historical Walking Tour of Old Quebec: Your guide will lead you through the charming cobblestone streets of Old Québec – the only walled city north of Mexico and the only one in North America to have preserved its ramparts, numerous bastions, gates and defensive works. Founded in the early 17th century, Old Québec earned its UNESCO World Heritage Site title thanks to its authenticity and exceptional preservation of this birthplace of French North America. During your tour, you will see the iconic landmarks such as the Château Frontenac, Terrasse Dufferin, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Basilica and the Place Royale, to name a few, and stop at a local brewery for a beer tasting.
Countryside Excursion on Île d'Orléans: Historical Île d’Orléans, the “Garden of Québec”, lies in the St. Lawrence estuary, just a short drive from Québec City. The scenic Chemin Royal goes all around the island, linking all six picturesque municipalities, dotted with old stone houses, farms and orchards.
