The 2025 Big 3: Toasting Triumphs at the CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence

he Canadian Home Builders' Association (CHBA) National Awards for Housing Excellence rolled out the red carpet in 2025, celebrating the crème de la crème of the residential construction industry in Canada. With over 1000 submissions this year, nearly 300 industry experts sifted through a dazzling array of entries to crown the best of the best across 48 categories. These categories showcased everything from stunning single-family homes to cutting-edge multi-family residences and innovative marketing campaigns, reflecting the vibrant diversity of the industry.  

Among these honors, three top accolades were awarded: the Design Excellence AwardRenovation Excellence Award, and Marketing Excellence Award. These prestigious awards recognize the builders, renovators, developers, and marketers who have set the bar sky-high and were the highest performers in the competition. Let's pop the champagne and meet the 2025 winners of the Big 3!  

  

Marketing Excellence Award  

Devron Developments in North York, ON, alongside their creative partners II BY IV DESIGN and Gladstone Media, took home the Marketing Excellence Award. Their robust strategies and captivating work for the project “101 Spadina” resulted in being named a finalist in seven marketing categories and winning two of them. The project was also named a finalist in the Best Mid- to High-Rise Building (Planned).

Renovation Excellence Award  

Based in Edmonton, Vicky's Homes snagged the Renovation Excellence Award, wowing judges with an incredible project that took home four home renovation awards and the award for Best Interior Decorating. Their knack for turning tired spaces into dazzling dream homes proves that renovation is indeed an art form. Vicky’s Homes. was also named finalist in three New Home categories for different projects.

Design Excellence Award  

The final big winner was Calgary’s Jayman BUILT. The company claimed the Design Excellence Award for the fourth year in a row, cementing their reputation as leaders in home design. Known for their commitment to sustainable building and energy efficiency, Jayman BUILT continues to push boundaries and redefine what's possible in-home construction. Their Calgary location won three new home categories and were finalists in four others, plus were named as finalists in six marketing award categories. Kudos to them for their visionary designs that perfectly marry form and function!
