Winners Announced for the 2023 CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence
BANFF, AB – FEBRUARY 16, 2023 – The Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) is proud to announce the winners of the 2023 CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence, a competition that recognizes excellence in new homes, renovations, community development, and residential marketing. Winners were presented in Banff, Alberta, at an awards gala that was the concluding event of CHBA’s Home Building Week in Canada.
This year, nearly 800 entries were submitted into 48 categories. Finalists and winners were selected by a group of judges made up of almost 150 industry professionals from all over Canada.
For the first time there was a three-way tie for the distinguished Design Excellence Award, which is given to the company that has the best cumulative results in the new home and new home spaces categories. The award went to Diverse Properties from Abbotsford, BC, and to Jayman BUILT from both their Calgary and Edmonton locations. It was the second year in a row that Jayman BUILT in Calgary has taken home the award.
The Renovation Excellence Award for best overall performance in the home renovation categories was awarded to Ultimate Renovations from Calgary, Alberta. Their project, “Bespoke Beauty,” also won for the Best Kitchen Renovation over $100,000.
The Marketing Excellence Award for overall success in marketing categories went to Branthaven Homes from Burlington, Ontario. In addition to the best overall award, they won for Best Website and Best Digital Advertising Campaign.
“You will be amazed by the variety of architectural styles being incorporated into residential housing in Canada today. Whether a home is built by a developer in a thriving new community or is a custom renovation done by a small family-run business, these projects showcase the pride we have in our industry,” said CHBA CEO Kevin Lee during the live awards gala.
