Emerging Innovation Showcase – Info for Applicants



What’s the latest and greatest in high-performance residential construction? If you provide an emerging innovation that’s a product or service, and you want to share it with the leaders in the Canadian residential construction industry, then this showcase is for you!

Ten Emerging Innovations will be selected for this showcase. In addition to 5 minutes of airtime (open mic on steroids!) each of the “Top 10” will receive a complimentary pass to the Summit. (All other approved applications will be placed in the Emerging Innovations “Runners-Up Video Hall” which will be accessible by participants after the showcase, along with the Top 10 videos.)

At the conclusion of the showcase presentations, Summit participants will have the opportunity to ask the presenters questions and can then vote on their favourite Emerging Innovation, earning the title of “Leaders Choice”!

 
STEP 1: Complete the Application Form. (Once the application form has been completed, a video file upload link will be emailed to you.) 

STEP 2: Upload your video.

STEP 3: Pay the $99 Application Fee here. (Once payment has been made you'll receive an email confirming that your application is complete.)

 

Notes:

  • Like our awards, not all applications will be chosen to be part of the Top 10 Showcase or the Runners-Up Video Hall. (All applications will be reviewed and voted on by the CHBA Net Zero Council Management Committee and CHBA Staff to become a Top 10 or Runner-Up.)
  • Videos longer than 5 minutes will not be accepted to ensure the session doesn’t run over time.
  • The video that you upload is what will be “aired” as a Top 10 in the Emerging Innovations Showcase, or in the case of being a Runner-Up, will be posted in the Runners-Up Video Hall.
  • Do not buy a Summit pass until you’re notified if your application made the Top 10 (you get a comp pass!) or if you’re a Runner-Up (and will need to buy a pass).
  • Only CHBA members may apply.
