What does my registration fee include?

CHBA provides flexible pricing options to fit your needs, fees vary depending on the registration option you select. Click here to view registration options and pricing.

Will I be able to register and purchase tickets on-site?

No. Registration and ticket purchases must be completed on-line by March 23, 2020.

Does CHBA handle my hotel reservations?

No. You book your hotel room directly online. Find out more information on how to book and using the discounted CHBA room rate here.

Do CHBA Conference attendees get special room prices at the Conference hotel?

Yes, CHBA has negotiated special Conference room rates. These group rates are considerably lower than regular rates and are available to delegates until February 28, 2020. Guestrooms are limited, so please book your room at the same time you register to ensure your required accommodation.

Can I make changes to my conference registration and hotel reservations if I need to?

To change your hotel reservations, contact the hotel directly. Information on how to change your conference registration will be available once registration is open. 

What should I wear?

  • General Conference Sessions – Business Casual | Comfortable and professional  
  • Wednesday Welcome Reception – Casual | Relaxed, stand-up dinner reception, mixing and mingling.
  • Thursday Housing Night in Canada – Casual | Sit-down buffet dinner, activities, and dancing. Dress for a fun night of camping activities at CHBA’s Camp Wannabuild
  • Friday CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence Gala – Formal, Black-tie Optional | Gala celebration with awards ceremony, sit-down dinner and after-party

 

Can I attend the Association meetings?

CHBA members are welcome to observe most of the association meetings. If you intend to observe, please indicate so during the registration process so CHBA staff can be sure there is adequate seating available.

I have some dietary restrictions. Can Housing Week accommodate my needs?

When you register for Housing Week, you will be asked to specify any food allergies or intolerance's you would like us to be aware of. This information is provided to the hotel well in advance. At buffet functions, please check in with a server to receive any special dishes prepared for you (or to confirm what you can enjoy from the food stations).  At served functions, please make yourself known to your table server and they will make sure you receive your special meal.

What is Housing Night in Canada?

Housing Night in Canada is a casual evening intended to celebrate our industry and Association. This year’s theme is “Camp Wannabuild.” Be prepared for a fun night of camping-inspired eats, lively music and dancing, and camping-themed activities that will have you moving around and making new friends. Dress comfortably in your best camping attire. 

What should I know about the National Awards for Housing Excellence on Friday?

This is a more formal evening—black-tie optional. It starts off with the 2020 CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence, showcasing the best of the best in new homes, renovations and community development, as well as new home marketing. The Housing Awards presentation is always a full house, with extra guests arriving that night just for the awards presentations.
