The 2019 Annual Meeting of Members of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. The meeting will take place in the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario and is open to all members of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.
Voting Information for CHBA Members attending the Annual Meeting of Members
Any Member in good standing as of October 31, 2018, is eligible to vote in person at the CHBA Annual Meeting of Members provided they register to do so by April 2, 2019.
You must advise CHBA of your intention to vote at the Annual Meeting of Members in one of two ways:
- When you register to attend the Pre-Conference Meetings, please click on CHBA Annual Meeting of Members/Board of Directors (Wednesday, May 8, 2019, 1:00 – 4:00 PM), OR
- You can notify the national office by email. Please send an email to email@example.com containing:
• Your Name
• Your Company
• Your Local HBA
Registrations to vote at the AMM will be taken until April 2, 2019.
All members who have registered to vote by this date will be able to pick up their voting card at the desk by the entry doors to the Annual Meeting of Members in Niagara Falls.
Members who cannot attend in person, or who fail to register to vote before the deadline, will have their votes assigned to their Local or Provincial Association, as prescribed by CHBA By-laws.
A Local or Provincial HBA can assign its votes to any CHBA member attending the AMM, regardless of where the member is located. HBAs must inform the national office in writing (email to firstname.lastname@example.org is acceptable) of their designate. Note that Executive Officers are employees, not members, of the Association, and as such they may not vote on behalf of an HBA.
