The Annual Meeting of Members is held before the CHBA National Conference. Members discuss the agenda of the Association moving forward, vote on submitted resolutions, and install officers to the Executive Board.
The Board of Directors is comprised of the Executive Board, Provincial HBA Presidents and Vice-Presidents, the Chairs of the CHBA’s various Standing Committees and Councils, and the members of the Urban Council. The Board of Directors manages the affairs of the Association between the Annual Meeting of Members.
The Executive Committee is comprised of the President, First Vice President, two Second Vice Presidents, the Treasurer, the Secretary, the Immediate Past President, and three Presidential Appointees. The Executive Committee manages the affairs of the Association between meetings of the Board of Directors.
The Vision Action Committee is comprised of the CHBA Executive Board and is Chaired by a Past President of the CHBA. The Committee reviews the CHBA Vision Action Plan (Strategic Plan) annually and makes recommendations for action to the Board of Directors. The Committee also makes a yearly report to the Annual Meeting of Members to update the previous year’s recommendations and to present new ones.
All Past Presidents of the Association are Members of the Past Presidents’ Advisory Council, and the Council is Chaired by the Immediate Past President. The Council meets at each Annual Conference to generally advise the President as to such matters and issues as they see fit, as well as carry out duties as may be given to them from time to time.
